I started to get things ready, meaning that i had washed the clothes that I wanted and had things here and there and then I had off Monday for Labor Day and was going to pack... my water broke at 33 weeks 6 days on Labor Day so I packed while waddling around leaking water.... moral of the story, pack in advance, as I had no symptoms. My OB had told me earlier in the week that he thought they may have to induce me at 38 weeks.
I am in the process of putting mine together. I have some comfy ankle socks and slippers, pj shirt/pants, underwear, robe, travel size toiletries, hard candy, camera with battery charger, sports type nursing bra. We live about 3 minutes from the hospital, so my DH can run home and get other things I may want or need.
I started packing mine last week. I have talking about packing for weeks now, but never got around to it. Last week one night I was having a lot of contractions so I decided I needed to get my butt into gear.
Re: When did you have your hospital bags ready?
I'm nuts so here's how i did it
the day after the BIG u/s we painted and put the bedroom together (NO LIE)
I had their clothes washed and ready by 22-24w
my bag was packed by 26w (because I went on BR for PTL)
I REpacked my back at 32w (I was hospitalized for a week and used all of my travel stuff)
