3rd Trimester

anyone sleeping sitting up?

I am so uncomfortable on my sides, I have to roll over every hour or so.  My hips are just killing me.  I have been trying to comfy in a sitting positon in bed with lots of pillows.  Anyone else have to do this?  I don't have a recliner in my house, but wish i did!

I sleep until I wake up one one side.  Go to the recliner until I wake up to pee again. Then go back to bed on my other side and repeat until morning.

  • I do! I rotate between 3 all equally uncomfortable positions... left side, right side, sitting propped up on my back rest supporter thing with a pillow. And yes, like I said, they are all uncomfortable. My hips kill me on my sides, and I get this really strange sharp pain right below my breast bone, at the top of my uterus after laying on my sides. When I go into the sitting position, it puts a ton of pressure on my bladder and I can't get as deep of breaths, even though I am no where near laying flat.

Sleeping ssssuuuucccckkkkksssss so bad and it's only continuing to get worse. Hopefully I go into labor very soon so I won't be so flippin' uncomfortable at night (when the baby allows me to close my eyes for a few moments haha)

  • I have been doing this for the last 2 weeks. I use 4 pillows to sit/lay in an incline position when going to bed. It has been working, most nights.
  • Me. I get horrible rib pain when I lay down for very long. I last at most 2 hours in bed and then move to the couch and spend the rest of the night. I stack 4 pillows next to me on the couch and lean sideways and sleep. It sucks because I still have to change sides every hour or so and have to move the pillow mountain from side to side.

  • Yep...pretty much. My hips were hurting laying on my sides and the body pillow was not working between my knees. So I just folded it in half and sleep kinda half on my side (like they say to lay the new baby lol)...sigh

  • I have been in a recliner for the past month. It sucks, but it's the only way I can get any solid amount of sleep.

  • I've been in a recliner almost 2 months now (We had to go out and buy one) because it hurt so bad to sleep in bed. My hips hurt so bad. I can't even lay on my side for a half hour now if I tried (I'm 28 weeks along so still have a ways to go). The recliner is definitely helping and worth the investment. We've decided we're going to put it in the baby's room once she arrives. It's a rocker recliner. I advise on getting one if you can. GL!
