t-shirt fundraiser for adoption fund

Forgive me if you think this is out of bounds for someone who isn't a regular poster over here, but a friend of mine is raising money for her adoption fund by selling t-shirts with the Superman logo and "Superman was adopted" printed on them.  They come in a variety of sizes and colors.  You can find more info here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100695077002037.2677436.12600120&type=3

Thanks!

Re: t-shirt fundraiser for adoption fund

  • I'm not a regular here either, but I think it's very unsavory of you to post this link here.

You aren't a reg and neither is your friend - and most of the ladies here are trying to figure out how to finance their own adoptions.

I've seen people post links on the IF board asking for donations to fund their IVF, too, and I think it's wrong to solicit for donations or fundraising at all and could be a violation of TOS.

  • 1) my friend is a bumpie, don't know if she posts on this board or not

    2) I read through the TOS and I'm not a vendor and am not selling anything so I think I'm ok there

    3) No one is asking for donations, she's selling a product which might appeal to those who have adopted.  Feel free to buy a t-shirt or not - they're cute, but as with anything, they're not for everyone.

Your #2 and #3 are contradictory.  You are either soliciting something for sale for a friend who does not post here, or you aren't.

  • TOS says you can't sell anything, I am not selling anything, I am not a vendor, therefore #2 and #3 are in perfect harmony.  TOS allows you to post links to other peoples' shops, just not your own.
