So, my older child is apparently capable of climbing into the baby's crib. Partly this is because of where the mattress is. Anyway, other than lowering the mattress all the way (which would be a pain in the butt with an immobile baby) is there anything else I can do to prevent him from climbing in there with her or do I just need to work extra hard on practicing gentle and careful? Both times he's done it have been as he's waking up from nap or in the morning and I hear him get up so he's not in there for long with her and so far there have been no issues, but I worry.
Re: Climbing INTO the crib?
My DD and DS do not share a room. Whenever one of them are sleeping I shut their doors that way neither of them (mostly my toddler right now) can get in there. If I let my DD explore my DS's room without me in there she would surely end up in the crib with my DS. When I shut the door she just walks by and never bothers him. Is this an option?
