How do you keep your cat out of LO's crib. My kitty is obsessed with jumping in, pulling the blanket off the side and curling up on it in the crib. I know the obvious answer is close the door, but the reality of situation is that the door will be open when LO is in there so I'd rather deal with it now, than later. Any tips?

Re: If you have a crib obsessed cat, like me . . .
You could try putting some tape in there with the sticky side up (or double sided tape) or even lay some foil down in the crib. Cats don't like the tape for obvious reasons, and the foil tends to make noises that they don't really like either. It won't be pretty, but after a couple of weeks, she might get the idea that it's not somewhere she wants to be. Then you could remove the tape/foil.
ETA: They also make these things, but I'm not so sure I like the idea of that. But maybe it's just me.
We got one of those for our playard and H put a screen door on LO's room. (If the door is closed, the cat will whine outside it FOREVER because it used to be the room where her litter and food was.)

Had a dream I was queen.
Woke up. Still queen.
I put foil in the crib as soon as I put it up. She stood up and put her paw on it from the side and didn't like the noise. I see no evidence she has ever gotten in it, even after I put sheets and things in it, although the foil is still out. The changing table is a different story. It is near the window she wants to get into and she will brave walking across the foil to get to the window, but she really hates the foil. How she will do once the foil is removed, I don't know. However, I plan on keeping the door closed when LOs are IN the crib and watching to see how she does when they aren't in it.
My mother also tells me that she has tried spritzing white vinegar in places her cat is scratching or laying that she doesn't want her to. That might be another option.
Lurking.. Is your cat good at jumping? I've used this since I moved my DD to her nursery (around 4 weeks). The cat has never gotten in nor tried. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Evenflo-Easy-Walk-Thru-Metal-Gate/13264746?sourceid=1500000000000003260330&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=13264746
We did this for DD and will use it again for DS. I loved it. We also installed something so the door automatically closes. We never had to worry about cat hair in the crib or them getting in to her. One of my cats is a cuddler and we knew we couldn't ever leave her alone with a baby.
I should have mentioned this in the original post, YES! My cat has mad jumping skills and will go over any gate with ease. I also don't really want the tent over crib, so I think I"ll try the foil and see how it goes! Thanks ladies.
