Coming off BCP (more of a vent)....

okay, so this is my second cycle of BCP. I think I'm going nuts. I know this is VERY vain of me, but I seriously feel like a 13 year old girl...I am having MASSIVE break outs. On my face and neck. It's awful. It's weird to me, because I've never been consistently on BCP. I've taken it on and off for about 10 years. (One year on, then another year off.) And I have never had anything like this since, as stated previously, I was 13.

I wash may face twice a day with my face wash and use SPF face cream after. All oil free as I have oily skin. I also use my clairsonic.

Is this something that has happened to other women when they've come off BCP? Or any other weird things? I know my body would through changes, and I shouldn't be complaining if this is the worst thing, but my goodness, it gets worse with every passing day! I'm almost borderline humiliated as I've had some co-workers notice and ask me if everything is OK because they've never seen me like this. Even my mom said something to me this morning on our way to work.

    Aww, I'm sorry you are feeling this way. BCP can really mess your hormones up. I don't have any advice, but wanted you to know I hope it gets better soon! I definitely noticed more acne since coming off the pill almost a year ago, but it seems to have calmed a bit during that time.

    can you see a dematologist and get some cream? it usually clears up quick with the rx stuff. im sure its just the horomonal changes and will eventually pass, but no need to suffer in the mean time. GL to you!

    My skin did that for the first 2 months off of BCP.  This is my 3rd month off (well, 2.5 I stopped mid cycle - I know, I know not good) and it's MUCH better this month!

    Thank you! That gives me some encourgament that this MIGHT clear up. It's just making me insane!

    I went off BCP last October and my face broke out like crazy too. It took about 3 1/2 months for me, but it has cleared up. I know how incredibly annoying it is though! Hope it clears up soon for you soon.

    I completely understand!  I am going through the same thing.  FX it gets better soon for you (and me)!

    I started breaking out after I stopped taking the pill. I also noticed than my skin and scalp are mush oilier than normal. I use to be able to wash my hair every other day but now every day is a must.
