I don't know if these places have always existed and I'm now finding out because I'm a mommy, or if it's a new trend, but it's pretty awesome.
Ruby Tuesday - Gave DD a snack plate with crackers, apples, and grapes. Offered coloring book, but she's not old enough yet.
Chick-fil-a - Free Cheerios for small babies. Stick on disposable place mats so baby doesn't have to eat off their nasty tables. Our local place also does free kids meals on Thursdays, which includes nuggets (grilled or traditional), fries or a buddy fruit pouch, drink (apple juice, milk, or soda), and a board book.
What kid friendly eateries have you come across?
Re: Kid Friendly Food Places
Cheesecake factory does it too. They give bread (which they give for free anyway) and sliced banana.
I was also wondering if this was going on for a while and I just didn't know about it. I also know the restaurants around here that do not have changing tables...and don't really go there as often anymore.
I can't change DD in public bathrooms anymore. She freaks the eff out the second someone turns on the hand dryer. I have to take her outside and change her in the trunk of the car.
We don't eat out much and if it's fast food we just bring it home.
We have gone to Ruby Tuesday's before though and they gave us the snack plate plus kids' activity stuff.
I don't think I've ever gotten anything special for Joaquin, aside from a paper placemat & crayons (which she promptly tries to eat). She LOVES mariachi night at our favorite Mexican place though!
BTW, you can buy the stick-on placemats yourself. I just got a bunch off Amazon because I always forget which entrees come with spaghetti at our favorite italian place, and spaghetti is Joaquin's absolute favorite. I was sick of tipping $20 on a $30 check because I felt guilty for making such a mess, heh.
i LOVE the stick on place matts. I got a ton too, totally worth it.
