Eco-Friendly Family

sposoeasy diapers?

My kid is going to have to start daycare full-time somewhere between 6-12 weeks old. I am looking for daycare friendly options that are also somewhat affordable. We hope to use PF pretty much exclusively outside daycare, as cost is one of our main reasons to cloth diaper.

I have been hearing great things about sposoeasy all-in-ones. Anybody have experience with these?

Other daycare friendly and cost-effective diaper recommendations would be great too!

Also, how many of these diapers do you think I'd need? I.e. how many do your kids go through from 7 am - 5 pm on average? I will probably launder every other day.

Thanks!

Re: sposoeasy diapers?

  • Really, I would show them a Bum Genius. If all you ask is that you hand them a bag of prepped (stuffed) diapers in the morning and they hand you a wetbag full of diapers at night (without worrying about them pulling out inserts, etc.) they might not have a problem with cloth at all. Most daycare places when you mention cloth think flatfolds and rubber pants. We are using BGs and HH's at daycare only, PF's and flannel pockets at home, and my daycare stash includes 10 diapers.

  • These are all I use. I love them. They are better than BG, imho, because they are 100% cotton and so easy to care for. They dry quickly and you can easily add another doubler... much easier than stuffing a pocket. The good thing is that they're only $17.10 with the bulk discount (5 or more) and then there is a 10% off DS code making them even cheaper. Plus free shipping. The best part is Blue Penguin - they are my favorite company... The best customer service EVER. Check out the diaper pin reviews and also there have been some semi-recent threads on diaper swappers.Let me know if you need the code or have any questions :)
