Who else is waiting for a match? How long? Where do you live? Do you know if your profile has been shown?
Me: 5 months, VA
Haven't been shown before today. We do have a web-based profile, though...so who knows on that one.
after several m/c, DD#1 born 7-7-08, more m/c and failed IVF,
started adoption process March 2011, matched Oct 2, 2012, DD#2 born 10-31-12

We are waiting as well - have been live w/ our agency here in DFW for 2.5 months but it seems much longer. Our agency doesn't tell us if we are being shown. I am thankful for that because I don't want to know if/when we are shown and not chosen. Our profile is also on their website, so I have no idea how many people have "seen us." In the past six weeks, I've had two surgeries (hysterectomy and gall bladder removed), so I have been focused on recovering. Now that I'm recovered, I'm sure I'll slowly start losing my mind and my patience!

After 5.5 years of loss, heartbreak, and empty arms, our dreams were fulfilled through the beautiful, selfless gift of adoption. We are amazingly blessed!
Our agency sounds much like this one. We have been waiting for 5 months and have no idea how many times we've been shown...
Unable to conceive due to emergency hysterectomy 11/04
Started our adoption journey 4/11
9/29/11- Officially waiting!
5/29/12- Our little boy is born and goes home with us the next day :-)
We are just starting to wait for our second match. We are in CA. and we are building our profile again. We know that our digital web profile ( even not finished) has been show to 10 birth mothers already. Our agency uses some finder service that uses your profile to match against birth parents and foster child and provides matches to your agency to follow up on.
Our first adoption, 22 months ago, we were matched within 2 weeks of completing our profile. So maybe we are spoiled and this time will be different. Who knows why a birth mother picks you.
Our first birth mother said it was because she loved our goofy beach video and we looked like we had lot of fun together. Let hope it works a second time.
I think we were only shown once, which ended up being our match
We are going through an attorney in CA
November 2011: after nearly two years of infertility, we are moving on to domestic infant adoption.
February 2012: Matched!
May 2012: Placed with our son!
We are! Our profile has been active for a little over a year and we've been shown a few times. We're really laid back since it's our second time. Although we were pretty laid back the first time too

We've been shown twice. Our agency only does paper profiles; nothing online.

Been shown at least once, but asked agency not to tell us anymore. When we weren't chosen, I felt like the last kid picked in gym class.
