Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Alimentum/Nutrimigen Babies

DD is 7 months old. The last 2 weeks she is not sleeping well at all. She's never really been a GREAT sleeper but she would wake up after 6 hours, eat and then go back to sleep for a few more hours. Now she sleeps for four hours and then is up every 2. Not sure what this is dirrectly related to but she is on Alimentum and when she gets up she is hungry. Anyone else have a similar situation? Help... I'm a walking zombie at work today.

Re: Alimentum/Nutrimigen Babies

  • We do!! The last month has been very crazy...Im tired shes not sleeping well. Same as yours. Sleeps for about 6-7 hours and wakes starving and then up every 2-3 after that. I think shes teething so that might be contributing to her not sleeping well. We have been on Alimentum for 5 months now and she has always done great on it so I dont think it has anything to do with the formula.

My lo has never been a great eater but I did notice that before she hit 6 months she was getting about 23-26 oz of formula a day and was sleeping from 9-6 or sometimes even 8am. Now I can barely get her to take 20 oz and thats when she started waking again at night around 2-3 to get in more calories to satisfy her.

  • My DD is 6 months, 1 week and on Nutramigen. She gets 7 ounces every 3 hours between 7 am and 7pm and STTN (this SSTN thing is very new). But, when she was cutting her first few teeth, she was the crappiest sleeper and ate a lot less. She now has 4 teeth and seems used to the pain from teething.

So maybe teething or a growth spurt?
