Edited to include those who are currently pregnant and will have 2u2 shortly. :)

  • I'm actually kind of thankful I'm working right now... evenings and weekends taking care of my little guy are wonderful but very tiring physically for me at this point in my pregnancy.

I'll be on leave for a year after baby #2 is born and then going back to work full time, so I kind of get the best of both worlds.

  • I voted 30+ hours a week, but I should clarify. I'm not pg yet, but I plan on trying shortly. No matter how far apart they are (may be as little as 22 months), I will take a year of maternity leave and then return to work full time (40 hours/wk). Unless we win the lottery.

  • I work 25-34 hours per week, depending on the week.  25 hours is considered full time at my job.

  • I currently work 25-30ish hours a week. 25 in the office (3 days a week) and then another handful at home during naps/after bedtime.

I will continue this one #2 is born. But I have free daycare since my mom or MIL watch DS right now and will watch #2 as well.

I like the balance of working part-time and since I have free daycare I can't pass up making some extra money for us (we live off DH's income and put all mine into IRA's, college fund(s), savings, etc)

  • When #2 came, I was working anywhere from 15-20 hours a week (mostly around 17). I started that job right after #1 was born.

I started SAH full time about a month ago.

  • I was working (full time as a teacher so far more than 40 hours per week) when I was pregnant with #2, but I hated my job and quit when she was born. We had enough in savings/tax return for a few months and now I'm looking for something part time.

  • I am full time teacher so I work more than 40 hours a week, but have summers off. I worked up until I was seven months pregnant, then was put on short term disability. I took off three months after delivery and return on tuesday!

  • Wish more than anything that I could stay home with them full time.  It is nearly impossible to get anything done around the house and take care of 2 kids and take care of work and get enough sleep to function while working full time as a teacher.  But this is the financial situation we're in and we have to deal!
