Morning Ladies!
Sorry the check in has been MIA...I've had one hell of a month at work.
I am so sad that at the end of this month I will be weaning my little girl since she will be one year old. I can't believe it! We spend so much time getting our supply right, routine right, and then just when you think you have it in a good place...you change it again. I know I don't have to stop, but I know that DD is a great eater, so her getting enough nutrition is not going to be a problem. She loves all types of veggies and fruits. She will also get WCM.
Is there anyone who would like to take over the weekly check-in and also be an administrator with me on the FB group? Just let me know so that I can add you.
You all have been so inspiring to me and have helped me get this far. I am going to cherish every pump session from now until the end of the month. I never thought I'd say that, but I am sad to stop pumping.
Please share your pumping accomplishments/struggles/obstacles below so we can get everyone to their goals!
Re: Hump Day Pump Day: EP Check in
WOW that is a great accomplishment! You have a lot to be proud of!
I am taking the day off work so I am home (nursing) today. I am glad b/c my pumping output was going down by half and I need her to help me bring it back up. She is waking from her nap now....time to eat!
Congrats to you on making it to the 1 year mark. Amazing accomplishment.
I have tried so many times also...it just wasn't going to work. I think if I would have had the right support at the beginning I could have done it...and DD could have. But what is important is that she got the right nutrition from her mama! I took it one day at a time to get where I am...sometimes that's all you can do!

Congrats to you! What a great thing you've done for your DD this past year!
I hit 3 months of EP last week. That was my minimum goal, since DD was getting her tubes put in then and I wanted to do as much as I could to try to prevent ear infections until then. So I was happy to make it at least to that. I'm still aiming to do this for a year.
I came back to work two weeks ago and it's actually easier to EP now that I'm back at work than it was at home, since I don't have to worry about what the kiddos are doing while I'm pumping and I'm more routined at work than I was at home. I have to get up at 5am to pump though, ugh! It takes so much more time with the 20+ minutes of pumping and the 20-30 minutes of feeding DD, it's an extra hour onto my morning. Totally worth it, but dang, I'm tired!
Congrats on making it to 1 yr, that is just awesome!!!
I've been EPing for just over 5 months now and it's going pretty well. We recently bought a small chest freezer to store my milk and we're starting to rotate the frozen now. I pump 4 times per day during the week and 3 times per day on weekends and usually produce 40-50oz. DS has severe eczema and so he needs to stay on BM until we can get into the allergist and see what is going on with him. I plan to EP until a year but I really hate the morning and night sessions right now because that and meal planning/the gym since I'm on Weight Watchers takes up all my free time but it's all worth it.
