Wipes Warmer with Cloth Wipes?

Does anyone have experience with using a wipes warmer with cloth wipes? I realize that in order to do that it means I would need to have them presoaked and I"m just not sure what my thoughts are.... TIA!

  • Yep, I used one for a while - quite like it.

Even if you don't pre-moisten them, you could always store your water/solution in the wipes warmer, keeps the wipes dry beside it and wet as needed. This way the wipes are wet with warm water when you use them =)

  • I put about 10 in it, then a drop of tea trea oil then fill it till the wipes are wet. You cant leave them for more than a day or two b/c they can get mold on the bottom wipe ive noticed.

  • Yes we love ours! But I agree you can only keep a few in it or it gets moldy. I just keep a days worth (about 10) and refill it every night. We use pre wet wipes and then a put some wipes solution from a peri bottle.

  • Thank you so much for the mold comments!  I've had mine all set up and ready, so I went to check after reading this thread and sure enough, mold!

So, do I have to get a new spongy thing for the bottom of the warmer?  (I have the Lionheart one).  Or can I vinegar it out?  Do I even need to use that thing if I'm only putting enough wipes in for one or two days?

  • I use the prince lionheart spongy thing on the bottom of the wipe warmer, when I resoak it once a week I put two drops of tea tree oil in it, also the pad is supposed to be anti-microbial.  I also add two drops of tea tree oil to my wipes solution and I have never had any mold/mildew or anything on my wipes and they are in there on average 3 days (i make up 24-30 wipes at a time.)
