We have been trying to figure out our nursery and being a teacher I wanted to do a children's book. I don't want a nursery rhyme. There are many great books- anyone have a suggestion for a nursery theme?
Thanks!
Winnie the Pooh would be cute. I am not the hugest Star Wars fan, but I love the drawing of Wookie the Chew... a mix between Star Wars and Winnie the Pooh.
Velveteen Rabbit sounds like it would work very well, too.
Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
PAIF and SAIF welcome. IVF questions welcome, too.
I also love the Hungry Caterpillar theme, it's great for gender neutral, I LOVE Dr. Seuss too!! My sister had an amazing Dr Seuss nursery for my nephews, with awesome wall mural paintings, so i wouldn't want to steal her idea LOL but i love Goodnight Moon, I think you could do alot with that, moons, stars, and even framing the prints from the book of the 3 bears, etc. I really love that book!! If i could, that's what i would do!

I'm a teacher and we are doing storybook too! We decided to go more general and include all of our favorites. I have a few prints for the walls and fabric for a quilt and so far they incorporate pooh and Beatrix potter.

Dr. Seuss is great just because there are so many different characters you could use
My friend did a general book theme...they had a whole wall of book on different shelves, a wall with the alphabet and then some other framed pics from storybooks.

I am a huge Star Wars Fan and this is AWESOME! The Velveteen rabbit though I find depressing.
I love Beatrix Potter with the original illustrations. My DH is a children's librarian and some of our favorites are Bear of My Heart and A Splendid Friend Indeed. There are also a lot of great books related to barnyard animals like Click Clack Moo and Minerva Louise.

DH and I loved the Berenstain Bears when we were children, so we're thinking about doing a mural of the tree house and the family on the wall with the crib.
