Hi Ladies,
I have a friend in the middle of the adoption process and I am trying to help my friend prepare. She told me that most likely when she gets the call she will be in a hotel for a couple of days with the baby, for those that have adopted what do you need that I wouldn't think of? She does have a list but wants to make sure she is prepared.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Helping a friend w/ the Adoption Process
Will she be out of state? Is she matched already?
It helps to just shop there.
If she's out of state, I recommend a good list of things and a map to the local Target!
Also, we used VRBO.com to rent a house for the same price as a hotel room for the stay. It made life much easier.
PS- If she's out of state, quarters to do wash for the baby. (I stipulate out of state because that means she'll be in a hotel for much longer period of time than if it's in state.)
She is out of state and is matched. I like the vrbo.com idea. They have to list of recommended items but wanted to see if you ladies knew of anything they didn't think of. I will tell her to find out where the local target is. Thanks!
Why does out of state take much longer, Silliestbunny? Just wondering, bc we plan to adopt from a different state. Well, our agency is in a different state, I have no clue where the birth mom will be located, bc it appears that this agency has regional offices in a few different states (none of which are the one we live in).
