you pureed until when?

I have been making Lo's purees all along and he still does not have any teeth, although he has been teething for what seems like forever. I figure purees will be good for awhile. When did you stop pureeing and transition to more regular soft cooked food?

    We never did purees, they don't need teeth to eat :)

    We are close to 7 1/2 mos and I am slowly moving away from purees.  DS does have 4 teeth, but he has been eating without teeth too.  I take frozen veggies, steam them, and cut them up in quarters....he then eats that along with cheerios, and other finger foods.  I am still doing fruit purees cause I am a little lazier with the fruits...but I buy applesauce so that counts!

    DS will be 8mn tomorrow and has no teeth yet.  We still do purees but I am leaving them more chunky lately.  I haven't tried just soft cooked veggies or fruit yet but I plan to in the next week or so.  He eats some finger foods already- one of his current favorites is hard boiled egg yolk.

    No teeth here either at 8 1/2 months. We do chunky purees and he feeds himself a snack when we eat dinner. As long as the food is mushable in his mouth he has no problem. I just make sure its cut into small pieces so he won't chock.

    Our DD is 8.5 months. She's been getting purees since 5 months. Just the past couple of weeks she has been fighting her purees, and not eating them as much. We have been doing finger foods for a month or so, although she hasn't really gotten the hang of actually eating the food yet. (Just picks it up, chews it a bit, then spits/throws stuff around.) We figure she's probably getting close to being done with purees soon, so hopefully she'll figure out the finger food soon too!
