Hello! I am new to this board. Here is a quick background: My hubby and I have been TTC since June 2011. We got pregnant in November and then had a natural m/c at 6 weeks along on Dec 30th. I recently got 2 BFPs and we are cautiously excited. They checked my hcg on Monday and it was 117. I thought that was pretty good for 14 DPO, but the nurse said "it's a little low, but not too worrisome." Of course, now all I can do is worry... I got my blood drawn again this morning but knowing my Dr's office, I probably won't get results until tomorrow. According to the reading and research I've done, 117 is within the normal range. I'm so frustrated that the nurse's comment has me worried. Anyone have similar beta levels? Thoughts? Is 117 too low for 14 DPO?
Re: HCG Confusion
She's an idiot. It really doesn't matter what the quantity is so long as it doubles.
My HCG was 50 at 13DPO and we've seen a healthy, wiggly baby with a heartbeat via u/s 3 times now.

I don't really think there is such a thing as "too low" as long as you get a good doubling time (with exceptions).
I had a beta of 24 at 11DPO and 48 at 13DPO and here I am, 30 weeks later, still going strong.
This. Plus, from what I've seen and experienced, 100 is about the average for 14DPO.
My first and second betas were both lower than your, it's not the number that matters near as much as doubling. PgAL is full of worry though, and it's completely normal. This board is a great source of support during the hard days.
Congrats on the BFP and welcome!

This time I'm not leaving without you.
Thank you ladies, for being so helpful. I am feeling a little better, although I won't feel completely relieved until I get today's results back. Actually, I won't be relieved until the first u/s and heartbeat. It's so tough being pregnant after a loss. My DH and I want to be so excited but we it's almost like we are afraid to get "too attached."
