Have you ever POAS away from home?

I prefer to POAS at home, so I can properly analyze the test, but I have taken tests at both Walmart and Chick-fil-A.

The Walmart test was a spur-of-the-moment decision. I was buying an HPT, but planned to use it later when I got home. I had ds with me, though, and he needed to be changed. Once I was in the restroom, I decided to POAS, but I wasn't going to look at it until I got to the car. As I was pulling up my pants, I glanced in the direction of the test and noticed 2 pink lines. Unfortunately, I miscarried 3 weeks later, but I still like thinking about my Walmart BFP.

The Chick-fil-A test was a BFN. It was a digi and took so long to give me the "not pregnant" result that I ended up putting it in my purse and discretely look at it once I returned to the table.

    There are many things I prefer to do in the privacy of my own bathroom, and POAS is one of them. If I'm ever on vacation or a business trip when my TWW ends I'd definitely test at a hotel or something but I don't see myself ever doing it in a Walmart or fast food bathroom. Nothing like a good Walmart BFP story though : )

    No, I have never POS anywhere but home. And to be honest, I actually prefer to be home alone when I do it. I don't mind DH being there, but I just prefer to be alone. 

    I think if we were going on vacation and the end of y 2WW was in the middle of our vacation, I may end up bringing a test with me, but I'm more likely to just wait to see if AF shows up first.

    Um yeah at work Embarrassed  It was the first month and I just KNEW I would be pregnant because I had unprotected sex duh. So I bought a test at lunch and was too excited to wait until I got home. I laugh at that girl now.

    I use OPKs, so I POAS all the time in public.  I have POAS'ed when I was a teenager out of "OMG I don't want to be pregnant" scares, but not since I've been an adult.

    I've POAS'ed at DH's grandmothers house because we were stuck there all weekend. I'd stick it in my pocket afterwards and peek at it. It was so funny.

    Yep. Got my faint BFP at work and confirmed with a digital I bought/took at Wal-Mart. I have no patience lol.

    I have.  I got my BFP the day we left for vacation so I brought a couple tests along to confirm that I was really pregnant throughout the week.  I guess that counts...?

    At my college. I was studying in the library and suddenly felt like throwing up. It passed, but I remembered that I had a test in my purse, so I did one in the bathroom there. BFP, but I miscarried later.

     

    I like doing them at home once DH is at work anyway. We decided that if I get a BFP, I'll find something fun for him to come home to like a bunch of balloons or something to let him know, so he doesn't mind me testing without him.

    I know! The tests I spoke of were taken back in 2006,,,it seems like a lifetime ago.

I guess he thought that it had to be like an OPK and be just as dark as the control line (he also didn't want to get his hopes up). I told him I was going to try to move my 1st Beta draw up to the next day. Since I knew I couldn't go another day w/o knowing for sure (esp. after our long TTC journey), I purchased a digital on the way to work. I was planning on waiting until the next morning but couldn't wait. During my lunch break between meetings, I went to the bathroom, POAS, stuck it back in it's wrapper and went back to my office to see the result. I actually started to jump up and down (thankfully I had my door closed). I showed DH as soon as I got home from work.

    My best friend and I were both trying and we wanted to go have a few drinks. So we drove to Meijer and bought tests and took them in the bathroom. I will not do that again.

    I have at work a few times, two of those times it was positive.  Both times that it was positive though, I was totally not expecting to be pg...  I was just late (and we weren't trying) so I took tests "just to make sure I'm not pregnant"  and low and behold. One ended in a m/c and the other ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me  ;)    (DS)

    I also have in the bathroom at Walgreens.

    I peed on OPKs at work all the time last time around. Awkward when ppl were waiting for the stall.

    I haven't yet, but after last night's discussion about using OPKs 3x daily I'm thinking I might PIAC midway through my work day, starting next week.

    LOL at the Wal-Mart BFP.  Didn't one of MTV's Teen Moms just get caught stealing a HPT and using it in a Wal-Mart bathroom? ;-)

    We were on vacation in January, and I tested in the hotel room every morning so that I could safely have a couple of drinks every day. I was super weird about wrapping everything in a lot of TP before putting it in the garbage. I don't know why, but I didn't want the housekeeper to see my business :)
