I have stuck around, but haven't been here much since joining the FB group. This place had almost completely died at that point. I like checking in from time to time, because, well...It's something to do. As you know, I'm on a totally different time zone, so when I'm on the computer most, FB is pretty dead, so I lurk around here and post sometimes if I feel like it. I'll probably hang out until the bitter end.
Its nice to have people with babies the same age that can I can relate to. I have no friends with LO's, they are all older or not here yet. I think I stick around more now because of the games that are happening. Its nice to have something to pass the time that isn't necessarily baby related all the time.

I've sort of been here all along, but I retreated to lurkdom after DS was 5 weeks early and nothing on the board was really on topic with my stage in parenting. About the time adjusted age milestones really started coming into play (plus more applicable general topics) everyone was gone. I am back because I'm seeing a lot of familiar ladies and things are moving faster again!
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Left because FB is better. Came back because the FB grapevine called people back via the roll call thread.
Id like to stick around, but things will need to move in the direction of conversations instead of so many games.
I second that.
I left because the FB group was more active, and I came back for the same reason MM wrote above. I stayed away because the board wasn't a fit for me, I'm not into the games (like the post count game, sorry) and I can only take so much rainbow crap.
I'd like to stick around again because this was my home from October 2010 until probably last May/June when I joined the FB group.
You probably think that I am newish, but I have been here since about December 2010. I used to be suzyqjmu. I posted on and off throughout my pregnancy. I wasn't exactly a lurker, but I wasn't on every day either. I have used the July board since the beginning, but I probably posted more on the tri and month boards at first. I started posting more often when I was on maternity leave and spend a few months on my couch nursing 24/7.

A little back story... I never visited the Bump forums while pregnant, so wasn't on here because I didn't even know about it. But I did sign up for those emails about the weeks of your pregnancy with the fruit etc. Well, when DS was 2 months old, I had reached the end of the internet looking for info on how to get my DS to just nap in his crib lol... and then I got my weekly email from TB telling me to "chat with other mommies" who had children the same age-- bingo! So I posted, then became active on 0-3, then 3-6 and so on... Came here recently because many of the girls I used to see on those boards were not there anymore, and through lurking saw they were here. I actually like the games and random stuff, and still use the other boards for strict baby questions. It has been fun and I have gotten to "know" many great ladies here already!

Am I missing something? What is the point of the post count game to up your own post count to look better? I just dont get it.

I've been here since I joined TB shortly after finding out I was pregnant. I spent a lot more time on the FB group too, but I never totally left this group either.

I was here since BFP. After the baby I still lurked but July was so dead for a while. Then it picked back up and I started posting sometimes. I'm not so much of a game person either though, I like the real convos better. Although I once tried to participate in truth or dare and it got ignored so I never bothered playing again.

I've been on this board since October of 2010. I never joined the FB group because I had no interest.,,I like to keep FB for people I actually know. I've never left this board, but I miss a lot because I don't always have time to post at work.
I became more of a lurker towards the end of my pregnancy when most of the posters headed to FB. I've been more active there but would always pop in to see how the ladies who weren't members of that group were doing. My work has recently started monitoring FB, but not TB, so here I am! It also helps that a lot of the posters I know have come back around as well.

I've never totally left--I read posts and comment here and there, but I joined the FB group and enjoyed it more. I joined TB while TTC then moved here after my BFP. I stuck around July even though my son was 5+ weeks early.

Oh no! Well, this is more reason for people to come back to TB!

I left because FB ate most of who I considered the regulars from my pregnancy, then they invited me over to the dark side. And I was honestly a bit creeped out over the lurkers coming out of the woodwork. I came back because I was bored.
I've been here since Nov. 2010 when I got my BFP. I left for a brief time because it was so slow and moved over to the 0-3,3-6 boards, etc. I started coming back when I was getting board with those and wanted to see what was going on with babies the same age as mine. I came back and it was more active, so now I check it more frequently than I did.
I have been here since my BFP 12/10. I have sticked around because I like the ladies on this board. Sometimes this is the only adult interaction I get.
HelloAnnie!:
Like pp, I'm not here much anymore because I
joined the FB group, and at the time this forum was SOOOO slow -- like,
one post a day, maybe.
I still like it here (I joined day after
my BFP), but now I don't really know people and I'm not sure they know
me as much anymore.
Also, I mostly post via my phone, and it's easier to do FB than TB.
I hang out on The Nest more than TB, the debates have a wider scope of topics. You can only argue about c/s, ear piercings, and circs so many times.

I've been here since the BFP. After LO was born I posted less, but have been actively posting the last two months.
I like to try to answer questions and I actually asked one myself a week or so ago. Also, I'm a sucker for clicky polls.

I've also been around since my BFP in Nov. 2010. I may not post all of the time, but am always on our July board catching up.
I love that we all have LOs the same age, and go through the same stages at the same times.

I don't think there is a point, sometimes games are just meant to be silly. Different strokes I guess.
