My back muscles have been really sore the past few days. I haven't done any extra physical activity that might cause it. Could this be because my muscles are getting used to my weight change? Has anyone else experienced this?
Mine is pretty achy lately. I've just been writing it off as poor posture when I'm feeding LO and hauling all her baby stuff everywhere. Those carseats and diaper bags get heavy!

This! And there's also the fact that I have 2 HUGE heavy balloons where my boobs used to be, thats probably a big factor as well...

I chalk it up too my muscles being weak after not really excercising them for months. They have gotten weak so little things like walking too long and lugging heavy baby crap takes a toll.
I'm big chested as well so I wrote the pain off as posture, etc, it would wake me up in the middle of the night and I couldn't get comfortable. I. Didn't figure out what it was until I started passing stones which felt like I was going into labor again with endless contractions!
The aching gnawing back pain was a pre symptom! If the pain seems constant and not relieved by ice/heat/change of posture being it up to your Ob!

Add by "constant" I mean lasting for 1-3 hrs. My pain was always worse in the middle of the night which I thought was from nursing in bed with poor posture, nope!!
I was exactly like you ladies, thought my muscles were weak and I was overdoing it, but it felt like muscle pain. (btw I'm experiencing a minor flare which feels exactly as you describe, right now!)

After I had my son my back was achy all over, especially when I went to lay down. When I went to the chiropractor he said it is completely normal because your whole body, including your bones and muscles, have moved so much when they're trying to get back to normal it can be achy.
