On the radio: Meridian and Abreel (? guessing on the spelling, sounds like Ah-breel -rhymes with wheel-) both high school girls
My mom has 2 incoming kindergartners in the fall: Abain and Akair, both boys (I couldn't find anything on these online, are they legit?)
Leap Year baby in the paper: Rebel Monroe, boy. Joining his big sister Konnor.
FB friend is naming her baby girl: Kendyll Grace
Oh boy...
Re: The "interesting" names I've heard recently
It's definitely possible I misheard it, since it was on the radio. He did ask her to say it twice though, so I thought I caught it.
There's a Meridian, MS so maybe that's where it came from?
I kind of like it...but would never use it.
I like it too, and I'm aware of what it means. (Do I really need to name a child for an imaginary line? Probably not.) I like the sound of it though, and I like that the nickname could be Merry. I'd never use it, but another of my guilty pleasure names was Dravidian and that was a group of people/language. I think everyone has a few names they like that make no sense and really would never be used.
That's what I was thinking.
I bet you're right, I totally forgot that was April in Spanish!
Kendyll? Kendall isn't awful - definitely NMS but I hate the y.
Rebel & Konnor are just silly.
