I've got initials on the brain lately as the husband and I consider names. I suppose this makes sense: I grew up JEW, with my sister KAW. Even my dad has initial weirdness (CSAW).
I really would like to use my middle name for the baby if it's a girl (Elizabeth), and our last initial is L, so I am desperately trying to avoid anything that even resembles a real word. It's tough when you like vowel names. No Emmaline Elizabeth (EEL).
Has this come up for anyone else?
Re: Initials
I don't think initials are a big deal unless they spell out A.S.S. or F.U.K.
Emmaline Elizabeth (though a little bit of a mouthful) sounds fine to me.

This is exactly. Is it really that big of a deal to have a strange set of initials? I wouldn't think that is something of great enough importance to stop one from using a name one loves.
