Not in my experience but I could be wrong. I saw a recipe to make it on pinterest Im curious to see if it works, that stuff can get expensive if you use it frequently.

I've got mod podge already and something on pinterest called for decoupage so I googled it but it looks like it's the same? I just don't want to screw up my project!

mod podge is the brand of glue, decoupage is what you do with it. You can decoupage with homemade glue or store bought... Now Im curious to know what you are making!!!

It's definitely the same thing. Actually, to get technical (craft nerd alert) decoupage is the act of gluing paper to things, and Mod-Podge is a brand of glue that you can decoupage with. But people do mix the words/terms and it still makes sense.
Like PP said, you actually can make your own. I never had a recipe, but watered down Elmer's glue works well and is much cheaper.
I found some scrapbook paper that I think will match his room really well but I didn't want to have to buy everything twice because I messed up the first time.

Yes...what are you making? The only thing I have ever decopauged was the letters for above DD's crib. But I LOVE the way they look. I could see myself getting very into this form of crafting!

I like it! For the record, it's pretty hard to mess up decoupage, you'll be fine!
