OK, ok, so I said no more DC questions, but I'm just about to place the order and I am curious if the new thirsties design is really that much better or if I can save a few bucks and buy the old design?
I hope you haven't ordered yet. DONT buy the old style!!! They wick like crazy out the legs and in my opinion they are awful! I bought 5 used and I'm so glad I didn't pay full price! After DS wears them for about an hour his clothes are wet. Get the new ones. They've taken the fleece out of the gussets and it makes a world of difference. I only have one of the new style but it works so much better in my experience. Hope this helps you and that it's not too late!!!
I'm probably too late, but if you're talking about the AIO, the new style doesn't have fleece right to the edge like the old style. The old ones leaked more because of this, from what I understand. I have both (ordered used from JD and got what they sent me) and think the V2 are worth the extra $1-2 you might have to spend. They have a wider absorbing layer and don't have the fleece right to the edge. Having not used them yet, that's all I can say about them.
Just in case you were meaning the covers and not the AIO - the new covers and a very slightly smaller gusset, the crossover tabs have doublesided velcro on both sides of the diaper now and there's an extra layer of fabric between the tabs and the laundry tabs to help them to last longer with being stretched:) There's not a huge difference at all and if you can find the old covers in stock and get a good deal, it's a great way to save some money!
