Heartburn

 4 Tums. 1 Zantac. Nothing is working....

    Yep, its another 2am night and heartburn is rearing its ugly head. Could really do with out this!

    Yup.  I slept on four pillows all stacked up last night because it was so bad I could barely eat my dinner.  Ugh.

    Yesterday I had it alll day.  It was horrible but I think I know what set it off this time.  No more orange juice for me!

    My OB just switched me to Prilosec last week.  It is definitely giving more relief than the previous Zantac 150 I had been taking.

    For my first pregnancy I was in Beijing and didn't have access to ANY Western meds for heartburn.  All the Chinese women told me that they use warm soy milk for heartburn. I tried it - it works! It's what I've been using so far for this pregnancy also.

    It is awful. I have tums with me no matter what because I never know what exactly is going to set it off.

    I am now on Prevacid which was ok'd by my doctor and it has saved my life.  I used to wake up in the middle of the night in pain and now everything is great.  I highly recommend trying it.  DH claims he has not seen me this happy since before I was pregnant bc the heartburn was killing me.

    I asked for Pantoloc at my last appointment and haven't had to touch a Tums since - It might be worth looking into if you're really uncomfortable.

    Same for me and it's been a lifesaver. I tried Zantac with no luck. Prevacid has been a miracle worker.
