Ouch! Ok so it was really, really intense, but it was over pretty quickly - about 18 minutes. I had to lay on my side for the back part so it's not quite as neat as it would be normally. Mostly it wasn't too bad, but there were 3 strips that made me jump a couple of inches off the table. I forgot to take my Tylenol ahead of time -
I wasn't too sore immediately afterward, but I think I was a little numb. Today, it's still a little red/puffy. I think alot of that is due to all the extra swelling I have all over. I would probably recover more quickly not pregnant. I planning to pick up some baby powder to put on my tender skin today. I might go ahead and take some Tylenol today too to help with the lingering swelling.
Of course, I guess I had it done for everyone ele's enjoyment. I still can't see it without a mirror!
Re: Got my waxing - Update
Thanks for your testimonial! I'm still considering it, but I'm such a wuss!
I love getting waxed and am picky about where I go because most places use some sort of wax that my skin doesn't react well to. I always look for a place that uses hard wax (it's normally blue), they're usually a bit more expensive. But the wax doesn't stick to the skin and I find my skin reacts better to it and the experience is a lot less painful!
I moved a few months ago so now I need to find a place that uses hard wax and a skilled (i.e. fast and thorough!) technician to do it. As I recall, the first wax is always the worst, but with proper upkeep each time after is a breeze.
I get Brazilians about every 6-8 weeks. The last time I went was about 4 weeks ago and quickly changed my mind from Brazilian to regular bikini wax. Due to increased bloodflow in a pregnant woman, it hurts more now than usual (like when you're about to get your period). But a Tylenol and a few extra glasses of water always help.
It's not bad at all, and much easier than trying to trim or shave yourself.

Lol, I have already pushed an 8.5 lb baby out once before, and am still too much of a wimp to wax. Maybe when they start offering epidurals for those as well...haha...
So for the bikini instead of a brazilian, do they still do the edges near the lips or just the edges near the top? During mine yesterday, she offered to leave a strip, but I figured, in for a penny, in for a pound. I may try to get one more done before delivery, but I'll be leaving the strip. That's where I have the most lingering tenderness today.
