Have anyone made their own Moby type wrap? I've looked up directions online and it looks pretty easy, but I'm wondering if it is as easy as it looks? Any tips?
I've made many! I've made a few for myself and I sell them. They're very easy! I've made them 2 ways, 1 way is to buy 5-6m of fabric depending how big you are and how much extra you want for tying, the fabric I've bought is wide enough to cut in thirds so it makes 3 wraps with no sewing. 2nd way is buy 3m of fabric, cut it in thirds again, over lap 2 3m pieces by about .5m sew them together. I also add a fun fabric to the middle and ends.
I have. It really is as easy as buying 5-6 yards of stretchy fabric and splitting it lengthwise.

I would really caution against piecing together fabric, especially stretchy fabric, to make a wrap, as it could tear while wearing it.

Thanks I've done a lot of research and worn my wraps countless times with no issues. It's sewn over many times over the 2 layers plus sewn over the cotton print fabrics I add on. The fabric also doesn't fray. It's definitely easier to just buy the 5-6m of fabric, just sometimes it's much cheaper to get the 3m

Oh, I'm not questioning the safety of YOUR wraps, I'm sure you have done your research. I meant that it might not be a great idea to suggest it to others who may not take the same precautions you do and still think it's safe.
I bought 6 yeards of a guaze type breathable fabric (I was using during the summer time) cut it in half and that was that. I did not feel like sewing it and it worked great for my son and I used it all the time. Very easy!!
