first cycle off bcp

So I just finished my first cycle off bcp, it was 30 days. I was on the pill for over 9 years. This period has just been weird. Probably TMI, but there is barely any flow, but it is not just spotting because it is the normal color and consistency... Any else have a really light period after the pill? I thought it was supposed to go back to how it was before the pill, and it was never this light when I was teen. Oh well, must be my body just trying to get normal again.

    I was never on BCP but from being on here and reading post they say it takes a couple cycles for your body to adjust back to pre-BCP. GL ttc!

    it can take your body time to get back to normal after going off BCP. Your cycles and periods and everything may be weird and/or irregular for awhile. It technically should go back to how it was before the pill, but how long it may take to get there is a question mark. I'd start charting right away if I were you so you can track your cycles and see when your fertility returns.

    fwiw, I went off in August, and just O'd for the first time this month. So be patient :)

    my first 2, or maybe 3 cycles off the BCP were the same way.

    It might take awhile for your body to get back to "normal" especially for being on the pill for so long.

    My post-BCP periods have been lighter than they were pre-BCP and have stayed lighter. I went off in May and was regular again immediately and have been O-ing, so I'm just assuming they're going to stay lighter. Def. not complaining!

    My post BCP periods have been shorter, but the cramping is much worse.  Now I have 1-2 days of heavy flow, compared to 3 when I was on BCP.

    I just finished my first off BCP cycle. I ended the pill pack in early october and had the "normal" BCP period. ?I just finished this first real period, and it was just as heavy as before BCP, but it was only 3 days long! so short!!

    Thanks for all your responses- glad I'm not alone! I'm not complaining either, it's just weird. I didn't chart last month, but I am going to this month to see if I am actually O'ing or not.

    I had what I thought was a really spotty beginning to a period for my 2nd cycle off the pill, and it turned out I was pregnant.. have you used other protection, or is it possible that you actually o'd and are pregnant?
