  • I like Serafina better because it looks prettier but I think both are fine!

  • LOVE this name. DH vetoed it :(

I really like both spellings, and I do think there's something elegant about the "f" spelling, but I guess if I was going to choose I would pick Seraphina because it seems more true to the origin of the name.

From Behind the Name: "Feminine form of the Late Latin name Seraphinus, derived from the biblical word seraphim which was Hebrew in origin and meant "fiery ones". The seraphim were an order of angels, described by Isaiah in the Bible as having six wings each ..."

  • I like Seraphina.
  • I prefer Seraphina.
  • I like them both but I think if it were me I'd go with the F just because it's shorter and easier to read and spell when they are younger... just easier on the eyes in general.

I prefer Seraphina. The F looks odd to me, and since it's essentially a word name (or from a word, anyway), it makes more sense to spell it closer to "seraphim." Unless you're Spanish/Hispanic or Italian, spell it Seraphina.

Exactly, I prefer Seraphina bc it's closest to the original inspiration for the name.
