Your pet peeves in the office?

  • People who constantly click their pens.
  • People who don't answer the phone, and assume someone else will get it.
  • People who say the same things over and over again, like "peachy!" "groovy!"
  • People who are always a negative nancy.
  • People who heat up frozen lunches at 930am and stinkt he place up.

FYI, this is all the same person.

What are your office pet peeves?

Re: Your pet peeves in the office?

  • Definitely the stinky food thing!

    Also...

    People who don't take initiative

People who stay on the phone after they're finished the business end of the conversation (so you have to take ALL the other calls that are coming in)

People who leave their post frequently and/or for unnecessary amounts of time

People who dress inappropriately (either sluttty or for the current weather)

  • People who are stinky (yes we have one of those)

We had this woman who used to take a dump every afternoon and it was foul - then she would sit in a chair in the bathroom basking in the foulness of her sh*t

People who think the rules don't apply to them - come in 15mins late, leave 30 mins early, take long lunches - all on the same day - we do get some flexibility but seriously you are abusing it

The old man who always stops and looks at whatever I am snacking on and makes comments about it.  I wish I had somewhere to hide and eat my snack.

  • Someone not putting things back where they were/where they belong... (Boss lets her daughter play on my desk when i'm gone and it annoys the crap out of me)

When someone give me tude over the intercom and doesn't tell me why I'm picking up a line....

  • people who use speakerphone when it's just them on a call

    loud eaters/eaters of smelly food

anyone who uses corporate jargon, ie:  "the net-net is...." or "low-hanging fruit" etc.
