Ergo heart to heart infant insert

FTM here and after exploring YouTube and the ergo website to make sure that I am using it correctly I noticed that the older version of the insert had the baby in a cradle hold but the new has the baby upright. I really like the cradle hold but want make sure it is safe for baby's spine etc. with the new version of the insert.  Any veterans have input on this?

    I love the heart to heart insert.  Often times, baby's actually prefer to be upright rather than cradled in the carrier.  I can't speak to safety, but I watched the videos with the old insert also...and I feel like it would be a little awkward. 

    I don't think I did a good job of answering your question, but just wanted to let you know that I do like the new insert!
