Trying to Get Pregnant

Creepy...

Has anybody tried the broom thing?

The planetary alignment is having an effect on gravitational pull. Here is my broom. Standing straight up, all by itself! Try it out. It's creepy.

It has to be facing west, so if you can't get it to work, try it in a few different positions.

  • Holy cow! Earlier today someone on FB posted that they "tried the broom trick" and I had no idea what they were talking about. Now I know. That is so weird!

  • I thought I was going insane today when this happened at work. I was sweeping, went to lay the broom against the wall to get the dust pan and it wouldn't move.

I'm glad I'm not going nuts and that there was a reason for it!

  • Swiffer equals fail. And my broom has slanted bristles so that didn't work either.

  • Too funny. A friend sent a text earlier today with 3 brooms he'd balanced. I just thought he was bored! I guess everyone's doing it!

Yeah, we just tried with our Swiffer and it didn't work either. Now DH ran out to the shed to get a real broom... haha.

  • Who knows. All I know is that this broom has to be leaned against the wall normally. All five planets are visible this week to the naked eye, so I reports are saying that that has something to do with it.

  • Yeah, this so-called "broom trick" has been around almost as long as the "you can stand an egg on end during the equinox" claim. Honestly my broom stands up by itself on any given day. Read this:

  • I remember when this happened last year. FB was flooded with photos of standing brooms. I was just too lazy to try it myself. Same thing goes for this year. Oddly enough, only one FB pic has popped up this year. Guess they all got it out of their system last time!

I just did it with a broom with slanted bristles. It worked...freaky. It didn't work in the other direction (north south) only worked facing east/west
