Trying to Get Pregnant

lurker

Hello,     I have been lurking for about 2 months, always thinking I'll get pregnant this months, so I never posted. Pathetic I know. So, after 8 months of trying to get pregnant I thought I would introduce myself.     DH and I have been married sense Sept 2009, but have been together sense 2002. I'm 25 this month, and DH is 28. I work crazy shifts, Nights 7p-7a at my primary job and any shift at my casual position. Which is why I don't chart/temp.    You girls all seem so amazing, and I love the get to the point attitude you all have. So, please flame me for not charting, so maybe I get my but moving on it. (I have signed up for fertility friend, but don't use it)    P.S. I feel like a failure for not getting pregnant.

  • Welcome! I am relatively new to a lot of this.  It's crazy since  we spent so many years preventing it, we are hard wired to think it should happen easily. I wish you the very best!

  • It, too, work the 7pm-7am shift. I had started temping before I took this on (still work for the same people, but they needed me to fill this Jan-may job), but it definitely does not work so well for me now. I try to set my alarm for 4pm to wake up and temp, but there are some days that I just don't sleep till then. Thankfully, by the time DH and I actually begin trying (planning for oct/nov), I'll be back on dayshift and hopefully back in order. GL on your journey!

Yes. I got the cheap ones from Amazon. I think I have positives. But I could be an idiot, now that I'm posting, I'll try and post my positive this month to make sure.

  • Welcome and GL!  I just started posting too...I find the Amazon OPKs so difficult to read so I'm trying the Clear Blue Easy Digital this month to see if anything is different.

  • Welcome!

There are alot of girls on here that work night shift and still manage to temp. Maybe you should give it a try.

    Good luck!
