Photo rights?

Anyone have any idea what a typical photog might charge for rights to digital photos?  DHs sister hasn't been able to order any photos from their wedding because they can't afford the print prices and copies of the digital images weren't given to them. DH and I were thinking about remedying that situation for Christmas but have no idea what we might be charged to get a CD with those images.

    When I was looking into this (in So Cal) for my wedding, it seemed the "better" photogs were charging $500 to $1,000 (and in some cases more) for the CD of images.

    :/

    I do recall some of my friends saying they paid $250 or so for theirs, though, so I think my original figure might be high.


    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    That would be such an amazing gift.  So thoughtful of you guys.  I hope it ends up working out!

    My photographer said he'd give us a CD with all the images for $500.  He didn't use a digital camera though, real film, so that was only for like 500 photos or something, and it involved his labor in having to scan them all in on a high res scanner.

    Also pricing will depend on how long you are willing to wait.. our photographer reduced his price by half if you waited a year

    I've generally heard $250-$500.  I hope you're able to get them for the lower end price.

    My digitals were $3/image.  So like $1500 total.  I think my sister's were more.  We used very expensive photographers.  Stick out tongue
