Hello everyone!
Kangaroo Care
Adalyn
has been doing great with Kangaroo time. For the last 2 nights we've
done it between the 8 and 11 Hands On time. On Tuesday we did it for
about an hour and a half, and last night we did it for a little over 2
hours! It was so great! DH was here with me and we watched
American Idol and CNN. It was the first time that we watched TV as a
family.

. Adalyn pretty much slept the whole time. I know that it was
a coincidence since the TV wasn't that loud and she has that whole
mask/headgear thing, but she would get a little fussy for a moment when
the people sang badly!:).
BreathingShe is still on the
CPAP mask, but has
been needing a little more oxygen--in the 30s and low 40s. There
doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason to it--ie, happens mostly in the AM
or PM, so we will keep an eye on it and see what happens today.
Feeding and WeightWell,
she gained 30 grams and was up to 980 yesterday, but today she didn't
gain any weight and is still at 980 grams (2 pounds 3 ounces). We will
see what happens today. She is up to 20 ml every 3 hours, and she is
really able to suck well on the pacifier. I'm trying to make sure she
sucks on her pacifier while she eats so that she can associate suckling
with eating so that it can be easier for her to get the whole bottle
feeding thing a little faster. She has a 2nd pacifier in there that is
more size appropriate for her and fits better with her CPAP mask.
I
also seemed to have surpassed myself with pumping!! Yesterday I pumped
1407 ml!!! 47 ounces!!! HOLY COW, BATMAN INDEED!

I think that doing
the Kangaroo care is really helping with my milk supply. So far today
I'm at 28 ounces, so we'll see what the final tally is for today.
Miscellaneous
Adalyn will be getting
her first vaccination next week for Hepatitis B because she will be a
month old! I also started noticing eyelashes that are starting on her little eyes!
Here is a pic of Adalyn with her 2nd pacifier. She seems to like this one better--she is better to able keep it in place. Also, on her left leg, is her blood pressure cuff! Can you believe how tiny it is???

Hi, ive been MIA lately, I been in the hospital for 4 weeks now and wont leave until I give birth and for some reason the internet here locked me from thebump!! finally after almost 2 weeks they fixed it...
My water broke at 21 weeks ... and ive made it so far to 25wk3days ... ive talked with NICU and toured the NICU to try and help prepare me....
I love your story gives me such hope! Do you mind me asking how far along you were when you delivered? Right now my baby is 800grams = 1lb n 12oz
First, I love her name. It's so pretty. Great job with pumping. This will sound crazy, I miss pumping!
I remember when Sam was on CPAP, he would go up and then come down in his O2 percentage. He was at CPAP of 7 FOREVER. Adalyn was about the same gestation as Sam, but lucky for her, she's a girl! No wimpy white boy syndrome.
I'll be following your story. She is beautiful!
Love the updates! Keep the good news coming!
I am so jealous of your pumping!!
