Came across this movie (a documentary) on Netflix about a lesbian couple on their journey to start a family. This is such a good (also very sad) movie, if you have Netflix you should watch it. Or you can go to littlemanthemovie.com

It is a good movie but I will add that if you had a preemie or nicu time I would not recommend watching it. I saw it before having Ella and after a 2.5 month nicu stay I could not handle the sights in sounds that they show. It is also a pretty sad story about how prematurity and having a disabled child destroyed a family. The non film maker mother left the family and has no contact with the son but still has partial custody of the older daughter. You are right that it is interesting but still pretty hard to watch.

I agree. We watched it on our honeymoon. Seriously. C thought I'd like it since it was about a same-sex couple and a baby. I'm sure I was crying and it wasn't the mood we wanted on that trip.

Yeah it was really sad and hard to watch. We enjoyed the part when he gets his glasses and gets a big smile on his face. Also when he gets his hearing aid and you can tell how happy he is to hear his voice.

Its not a movie to watch on a honeymoon. When i came across it, i also thought i would like it cause it was a same-sex couple and a baby but it is really sad.

Now I want to see it but I don't at the same time. I cry really easy....like someone's dog could die in a movie and I would bawl. Also movies with sad/hurt kids make me want to scoop Ky out of bed and hug her no matter how late....

Maybe tomorrow night when Ann is not home because I know she could not deal with it. Kind of like watching horror films, do it without the wife.
