when did you install you car seat?

I'm wondering when I should install mine and have time to get it inspected.

    Someone at the hospital should be able to make sure it's installed correctly before you leave with the baby.

    Call for an appointment. The soonest I could get one when I called in October was 12/13! We have the base installed I think pretty good (after having gone through 3 inspections thus far)

     

    Check your hospitals policy...our requires PROOF of state insepction before allowing you to leave. They will not touch the carseat or check it for you.

    Ours has to be inspected and we have to show proof. I installed mine early as I am having problems with my BP and could have this baby anytime. I did mine at 30 weeks.

    I think we're putting ours in today!    I just don't want to deal with it in the mad rush to get to the hospital - esp since half the things I want to put in my hospital bag can't be packed until the last minute.

    We installed it at 36 weeks.  Around here it seems you need 1-2 months notice for an inspection appointment, and the hospital informed us that they are not able to help "by law".

    I will be installing mine over Turkey Day weekend. As well as packing the hospital bag(s).

    Check with your hospital or your state laws. Get it inspected either way even if it is after the baby arrives. MOST are installed wrong and it is difficult to get then correct.

    I'm glad this was posted, the hospital I delivered DS had certified installers that checked it for us before we were allowed to leave.
