Switching to EF Laundry Detergent

I'm all set to start using Charlie's Soap, however, we still have about 1/2 of a big jug of Tide.  I only have 2 months to use the rest of it before our baby arrives and would really like to start washing clothes with the new Charlie's Soap - hence my predicament.

When you switched, did you just use up what you had and then switch over? I can wait but just curious if you all just threw yours out or used what was left before switching?

Thanks!

Re: Switching to EF Laundry Detergent

  • I used what I had and then switched.  Is there anyone you can give your tide to?

  • Use the Tide first or give it away- it is not good to throw it away. You have awhile before you need to wash all the things anyway.

  • I just quit cold turkey Stick out tongue (for the same reasons as you - it was only a few weeks before Will would be coming and I wanted to start washing his things) and listed my non-EF laundry stuff on freecycle.  Someone came and picked it up that day.

  • I would give it away to someone who would use it anyway...a relative or neighbor or something.  If you don't know anyone you can freecycle it.
  • I kept using what I had for my husband and my clothes but when I started washing the baby's stuff before his arrival I opened the EF stuff and used that. ?
