I don't know which song you're talking about, but since DD was born, 'You're Gonna Miss This' by Trace Atkins and 'I Saw God Today' by George Strait make me tear up every time I hear them. I NEVER used to be like that!
"Mary" does it to me too. When my grandmother was dying we sat around her bed singing and that was one of the songs. Patty's "Making Pies" also always makes me tear up for some reason.
100 Years by Five for Fighting is my all-time favorite popular song. Another tear-jerker for me is Music Box Dancer by Frank Mills, which was my dad's favorite song. Both were played at his memorial service.
Amazing Grace & It Is Well are both tear-jerkers for me, too. One of my dad's BFFs was a tenor in the Chicago Opera. He sang Amazing Grace at the service. Oh...the tears...

::dabs tears::
Damnit, Glad, you have me crying too now.
My strange one is Innagaddavida; my dad couldn't sing
for crap, so that was his lullabye for us when my mom
had nights off. We wanted to have it played at his
funeral, but the priest nixed that one.
My others are Otis Redding's These Arms, because DH
and I have been long distance for so much of our
relationship, and then Amazing Grace and It Is Well
With My Soul.
