...thermometer.
The only one I have is a cheap little one that came with our first aid kit. I tried it out the other day and it took over 2 minutes to get EJ's temp under her arm. That is just not going to cut it. So, I'm looking for a faster one. I'm not sure if I want a different underarm or ear thermometer; I honestly haven't started comparison shopping yet. I don't think I want a rectal one.
I'm especially interested to hear from you moms whose babies have been sick already.
Re: Recommend your...
okay so i have been anal about this subject lately!!
dh got the Vick's temporal thermometer and i've been hesitant to trust it since ds moves his head a lot when i try to take his temperature. but he's been sick for the past two weeks and i've experimented with it and an American red cross rectal thermometer we got in a gift set.
i have actually found the vick's thermometer to only be like a degree off from the rectal. i took it with me to the pedi's to compare to it to their's. again it was only a degree off. it's super easy and very fast.
We have this one:

I really like it!
Us too!
I have this one and I FREAKIN' love it. I trust it 100% https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FWXKMM/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=1278548962&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000050FE0&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=01231F1D0MHVYNZF225A
I had another one by Safety 1st. Biggest piece of sh*t I ever owned. You can usually feel when your kids are running a temp, but this would read them as if they were ice cold, which was not the case. I bought the Braun and compared it to the Safety 1st, and they weren't even close to eachother's temp readings!
We have this one too. I love it! When B was sick, it was so easy to take her temp. And you can take it multiple times instantly to make sure you are getting an accurate read. It was so convenient, fast, easy and non invasive.
We have a dinky under arm one and it's ok. We have a super junky one that I;m actually not even sure where it is that sucks. It took forever to get a temp.
I loved them temporal ones when I worked in the psych hospital. At the time they were wicked expensive though. But looks like they are coming down in price though and might be worth it.
