nightmares

how do you deal with your LO's nightmares?  lately DD has been waking up hysterical about something or another scaring her or she's devistated by.  This morning she was so upset that DH took her ballet recital costume and tights and she was hysterical and was so mad at him she wouldn't even give him a morning hug.

    some of DSs nightmares are pretty darn scary - mean cats that drag him out of bed and things like that. we use therapeutic lying, lol. we have a batman doll that now protects from all bad cats. DS also gets to sleep with a flashlight, i never specifically told him it was for bad guys, but i think he feels better anyways. we usually just give lots of hugs and kisses and tell him that its ok, and that we're here to protect him.
