BG 3.0 repelling issues?

I have some brand new bumgenius 3.0 pockets that I haven't used very much because they tend to leak.  I finally resorted to switching the microfiber inserts for bamboo, and while that worked slightly better I still get leaks.  I changed DS immediately after he peed and noticed the pee was pooling in the liner, so it's inner that's giving me issues.  I have absolutely no repelling with any of my other diapers, which vary from WAHM fitteds, AI2's, prefolds, blueberry pockets, and my BG 4.0's have been fine.  Is this purely an issue with the older style bumgenius' that the inner's take a while to absorb?  Any one else heard of this issue?

My BG 3.0 pockets work great.. no issues with absorbing slow.  That's strange.  Is it a fit issue?  Where are they leaking at?  Have you tried a trip through the dryer on high to reseal the PUL?

  • I don't believe it's a fit issue, it seems like the inner lining part absorbs so slowly that if he pees a lot at once, it pools in the lining rather than getting through to the stuffing, so depending on how he's laying, it will seep up the back or legs.  I bought them off craigslist, and while they appeared new, perhaps they were washed in something that's causing them to repel?  It's got me stumped!

  • Weird, I've got a bunch of 3.0s and have no problem with them. I'm going to guess it's a repelling issue if the pee forms a pool on top of the lining. Have you tried stripping?
