I realized today that I am an adult.

DH and I are going to look at new fridges tonight. I am excited....which makes me an adult because kids don't care about new refrigerators.

Other things could have been previous indications that I am an adult, but I didn't truly realize it till today... (These are just some of MY indications, not necessarilly everyone else's indications.)

-I have a kid (having a kid doesn't automatically qualify you though because there are plenty of kids having kids.)

-Our cars are paid off

-We own a house

-We put our extra money towards our student loans

-The only mail we get are bills, credit card offers and baby store sales ads

I could go on, but I won't. When did you realize that you were an adult?

Even with a baby, a mortgage, and all that other fun stuff, I still don't feel like an adult. I will be 30 this year, maybe that will do it?

I don't feel like an adult most of the time. But that's probably since we are living with DH's parents for the time being...ARG.

I think once DH gets his orders for wherever then I will feel more of an adult.

I've felt like an adult for the past 20 years..

I read "fridge" as "fudge" and now.. I really want a sundae, ugh. I need to get glasses asap.

I realized when I got SUPER excited that when we bought our washer and dryer two weeks ago! haha.

I still act like a kid sometimes though.

I had an "oh, I'm and adult/mom" moment a few minutes ago actually. I came home from work and Evie was sleeping so I wanted to clean up the house a little from her and DH. I had arms full of clothes, toys, pacifier, diapers, DH toys, and other stuff to put away and just stopped when I realized how "mom" that was!

Buying a dining room table. THat's not something that you do by accident, and you need to be a grownup to have one of those.

People get married too young, so that wasn't grown up. People have kids by accident, so that wasn't grown up.

We also bought our 'destination' home this year, which feels pretty adult. At first I felt like I was walking into someone's parent's house, but then I realized that I am someone's parent. I also felt like a grownup last year when we had a miscarriage. That's an adult thing to have to deal with.

When I spent all morning on the phone with my insurance company and i got my way!

Also, when I went to get DD SS card. I looked at the application and I thought "Dang, I don't know my parents SSN." And then realized that, I AM THE PARENT!
