Hi, there!
I don't have my 6 month checkup for another two weeks (we had to move it because DS is sick, so he'll be over 7 months by then).
Anyway, I was really interested in trying yogurt with him, and I actually bought some anticipating that I'd ask doc at the office visit this week (that never happened)... I guess I could call, but it seems like a personal choice, anyway.
So, do you give your kid yogurt? I bought non-organic 10% fat plain greek yogurt. I wanted something that I could add my own purees to, but all the organic plain ones were low or reduced fat. I didn't like the sugar content of the yobaby stuff... How much should I give him if I decide to do it? I measure stuff in "baby bullet" sized cubes, usually. DS eats about 3 ounces twice a day of veggie and fruit puree currently.

Re: Do you/would you do yogurt?
From what I have read previously via baby books, wholesomebabyfood.com & our Ped, babies should really have whole milk yogurt due to the fat content and what not. With that said, I had trouble finding whole milk yogurt at first (besides YoBaby which a friend said her son didn't care for and it has a slimy texture?) but was able to find some at Trader Joe's and eventually at our local grocery store (I guess they were out of it the first time I was there). And even better yet, the large container at Trader Joe's is not only organic but it costs the exact same as the little four pack of "single serving" YoBaby yogurts. Score!
We started with the Plain Yogurt and I literally just purchased the Vanilla. We also mix our own fruit purees and oatmeal into it. I would strongly suggest that you eat/cook/bake with the 10% yogurt you bought and try to find the whole milk version. Hope that helps!
Stonyfield sells whole milk yogurt.
DS started yogurt around 6 months. He has a love affair with yogurt. And cheese.

Also, I forgot to mention, I put about 2-3 tablespoonfulls of yogurt and mix it with his 2 cubes of fruit and then sometimes oatmeal to thicken it up. But Jeremiah is a fairly big eater.
haha, I love that pic of your son! like he's doing a pushup.
I didn't know when it was ok to start yogurt, might try it on my twins too. Though I've never been a big fan of yogurt because it's tart. I used to literally gag at the thought of yogurt when I was a kid. I wonder if my kids will like it? I like yogurt now, but only once in awhile
