Or Gabe's way of showing affection. He grabs my face and hair, knaws (sp?) on my chin and cheeks and slobbers on me, and frequently wraps his arms around my head when I'm holding him. I wish he'd like to snuggle instead.
I can't even lay next to my kid without him pinching or kicking me. You wouldn't think an almost 7 month old could kick very hard, but he's left me some bruises before (although I do bruise easy.)

I get that too, Gabe will kick and swat. But today I was holding him, and he grabbed my face, and scratched the outer corner of my right eye. I'm worried as he gets more direct with his movements, he'll blind me.
Maybe it's a Gabe thing, because my Gabe does the exact same thing at almost 17 months -- minus the chin-gnawing thing. He stopped that at about 9 months or so. It's all the snuggling we get in our house. The rest of the time is "Go-Go-Go". I love it.
