Testing and Medication Question

in Trying to Get Pregnant

This will be my first cycle taking Clomid (50mg). I am to take it CD 5-9. On CD 9 I am supposed to have my HSG testing done as well. Will taking the Clomid and having the HSG done be a problem? Should I just wait until next cycle to start medication?

    What is your doctor's rationale for starting you on Clomid before hsg?

    You should wait until your next cycle to start taking the medication. Reason being if your tubes are blocked no amount of clomid is going to help you. Taking a medication like Clomid before your testing is complete is just dumb. It has a limit on the number of times in you life you can you use, why waste one?

    He wasn't there for my CD3 appointment and thats when I found all this information out. I have called the office and I am waiting on someone to call me back.
