So I usally get waxecd, but don't feel comfortable doing it when pregnant. I have been trying to keep up with shaving, Problem is I find it so itchy once it starts growing back in. I have read that some of you are shaving everything, doesn't that itch???? How do you keep from getting itchy? I could really use some advice, things are starting to get out of hand down there! Thanks ladies
Re: For those who shave...I have a ?
same here...
This! Even when I've used lotion and any other trick, as soon as it starts to grow back it gets REALLY annoying.
This for me too. I dont know if it's how I shave or the consistency of my hair or what, but I can't shave down there without getting wicked razor burn/itching and ingrown hairs once it grows back, no matter how careful I am or what I do to prevent it. I havent waxed in a long time, but have never reacted badly to it. Anyway, now I just keep things short and trimmed with an electric trimmer.
It depends on your skin. I used to try to keep moisturized down there, but I ended up with a ton of bumps and it was super itchy. I started putting some baby powder on my girly parts after shaving and it helps soooooo much!
I would do a trial run to see if you need moisture or if you need it to be dryer.
I bought an electric shaver to trim up and it ended up getting some of my skin and needless to say...there was blood and I will not be using it again!
I do this also. even bikini zone doesnt help sometimes. and at this point and how big my stomach is I dont trust myself with a razor on my lady parts when its hard to see hahahaha

As someone who has been "clean" down there for about 10 years - let me give you girls some advice.
1st - even though its not going to be perfectly smooth, if you shave in towards the opening of your v-jay. Unfortunately to not get the bumps/irritation/in-grown hairs, this is about the only way to do it. Will it be as smooth as a wax job? Nope - but, you also won't be itching your crotch mad crazy looking like you are having issues.
Now - as for the itching while growing back...it happens. Your hair will reach a length that gets too long and it does get itchy. This is why I am still clean shaven ten years later. After about a week to a week and a half, it just gets too itchy and I have to shave it. Its a vicious cycle.
And for what its worth, I shave my V with just soap and water, and I don't put any lotion or powder on. It works for me!
I also use a shaving cream that I picked up from an adult store (Coochy) which is like a conditioner for your hair. It seems to grow in softer and less coarse which is nice. Coochy is also safe for shaving your whole body, not zone specific.
