triphasic chart...what's it mean?

Has anyone had a triphasic BBT chart?  Last month, after ovulating, my temps increased and stayed the same all month until AF arrived.  This month, I ov'd on day 13-14, had a temp spike day 15 and 16, and then 16-21 days were stable/high.  Then, on day 21, my temp spiked another .3 and has gone up and up since.  So it looks like 7 days post ovulation, I had a spike and now it's just increasing.  I also noted a .1 temp dip 5 days post ov....  I am currently day 24, and promised myself I wouldn't test until day 34 since my cycles are about 33 days long.  Has anyone had a triphasic chart??  I'm reading all sorts of stuff about a triphasic chart signaling possible implantation and pregnancy, and increased temps like this during this phase of the month being a good indicator, but I don't wanna read too much into it or get my hopes up too much.  Any thoughts/advice/ideas?  Trying to stay sane during the next 10 days is gonna be a tough, tough battle!!!

Re: triphasic chart...what's it mean?

  • can't say I've had one myself...but then again I didn't temp too much the move of my FET because I knew I was being monitored and figured the extra progesterone and stuff I was putting in might send my temps a little loopy.

But I have to admit...your chart does sound very promising...sounds classic from what I've read about pregnancy and triphasic charts.   I'm sure it will be hard not to test...but thinking you could probably test after 14 or 15 days past O and might see something...I'm usually not a POAS pusher (in fact I never did a real POAS with my FET; tried on beta day but the stick was defective)...just thinking I'd have a hard time waiting until day 33 for answers.

So fingers & toes crossed for you!  keep us posted!!

  • I usually keep a paper chart that I take with me to appointments and such, but I really want to try out Fertility Friend's online charting so it helps me interpret things.  I'd seen that info, and similar info, online regarding triphasic charts.  I guess I am having a hard time not reading into things and just being patient!!  :)  I am definitely seeing the jump in temp around 7 DPO so that's why I feel more excited.  Although, I had acupuncture yesterday and the TCM specialist thought I was more likely fighting a bug vs. being pregnant.  Guess I'll just have to wait and see...!  I'm 12 DPO and feel it's too early to test...
