I'm thinking of getting one to encourage me to eat and snack healthier as I try to drop baby weight. DH says I'll use it for a week and then quit. I love fruit smoothies so I don't see that happening but I don't want to waste money and counter space on one if it's not worth it. Can anyone reccomend it? Do you have any awesome recipes to share?
Re: Magic Bullet
I just got one, and I love it! So far, I've made lots of smoothies and chicken salad (just take leftover chicken, mayo and a touch of mustard and blend until smooth - eat in a pita half... yummm!). I plan on making pesto and salsa sometime soon. It comes with a booklet with a TON of recipes for anything from alfredo sauce to whipped cream to asparagus soup.
I got the one from Costco, and it was a great price. Came with lots of accessories, including to-go lids for the cups and a big blender attachment for bigger batches.
I used to be "Chasingthedog" but it would never let me update my profile.

I got this after a TON of review reading:
https://www.amazon.com/Big-Boss-15-Piece-300-Watt-Countertop/dp/B004FLK0HI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330617242&sr=8-1
Called the big boss blending system. It's the same exact concept as magic bullet, but I felt the reviews were a bit better (including one where someone had magic bullet and the above, and preferred above one).
I use it every single day. EVERY day I make a green smoothie for lunch.
My only complaint is one of the lids (it comes with a bunch for different purposes).. the travel one isn't the best. It's hard to drink from it because the lid bops me in the head. But, I don't use it much.
Totally recommend a blending system like this (or magic bullet, whatever).. I dunno how I lived w/o it.
