pampers pull ups- scented? reaction?

I got DD the pampers pull ups b/c I have always been a pampers fan (never had the issues w/ that controversial stuff, I really loved their diapers). I opened it & was assaulted by the flowery smell, almost like a scented tampon, ugh! I used them anyway but after several days, DD had a reddish area on her upper thigh. chalked it up to dry skin & moisturized well in that area. next day her whole butt cheeks is red after nap (she wears pull ups for nap & bedtime & if we go anywhere, we just started PTing) so I moisturized again really well after bath & used a diaper last night. I was going to just use out the pack & then get huggies but I'm thinking maybe I should just switch to the huggies ones...anyone else have issues w/ the pullups even without problems w/ the diapers?
